Latency / The Black Death 是一项六幅画面的课程分镜练习。它从对象的历史、用途与相关想象出发，通过鼠群、船舱、城市、鸟嘴面具和实验室意象建立叙事联系。手绘、参考图像与反复出现的曲线共同组织画面，研究离散的静态图像如何传达连续事件，以及视角和道具怎样赋予故事空间尺度。Latency / The Black Death is a six-frame coursework storyboard. Beginning with an object's imagined history, uses and associations, it connects rats, a ship interior, a city, a beaked mask and laboratory imagery. Drawing, reference images and recurring curved marks organise the frames, exploring how discrete static images can imply continuous events and how viewpoint and props give a narrative spatial scale.
视角、移动与场景连接Viewpoint, movement and connected scenes
开篇用密集线条和鼠群组织前景，再把视点带入船舱。透视、箭头和跨越画面的黑色曲线引导阅读方向；鼠的照片与重复轮廓进一步改变观看距离。三幅图探索全景、场景和局部之间的切换，让同一组视觉元素把分散画面联系起来。Dense linework and rats establish the opening foreground before the viewpoint moves into a ship interior. Perspective, an arrow and black curves guide the reading direction; a rat photograph and repeated outlines then change the viewing distance. The three frames test shifts between an overall scene and a close view, allowing recurring elements to connect separate images.
象征图像与叙事时间Symbolic imagery and narrative time
城市画面之后，鸟嘴面具与实验室场景带来两种鲜明的视觉意象。点状绘画、历史参考图像和抽象符号并置，将故事从环境转向人物与知识的表达。不同年代的意象在这里服务于主题联想，页面呈现的是分镜和氛围研究。练习也把时间引入空间表达：一个场景的意义来自它之前发生了什么，以及之后将如何变化。After the city scene, a beaked mask and laboratory setting introduce two contrasting visual motifs. Stippled drawing, historical reference imagery and abstract symbols shift attention from environment to figures and ideas of knowledge. Images associated with different periods serve a thematic association within the storyboard and atmosphere study. The exercise also introduces time into spatial representation: a scene gains meaning from what precedes it and what may follow.
