连接空间,回应天气Connecting Spaces and Responding to Weather
这是建筑元素课程的学校设计练习,尝试把墙、屋顶、开口与地形整合为学习空间。方案从三个独立体量出发,逐步合并为更紧凑的两层组合,重新安排室内外连廊与楼梯。实体模型、色彩图示和最终平剖面记录了从抽象空间到初步建筑组织的推进。This school exercise brings together the walls, roofs, openings and ground explored in the Elements studio. Starting from three separate volumes, the design develops a more compact two-storey arrangement with revised indoor and outdoor circulation. Physical models, colour diagrams and final plans and sections trace the move from abstract space toward an initial architectural organisation.
从分散体量到相连空间From separate volumes to connected spaces
早期平面把教室与通道分成几个独立体量。考虑爱丁堡天气与课间通行后,方案减少暴露在室外的移动,将部分建筑合并并调整高差。色彩图示区分屋顶、室内空间与室内外连廊。Early plans distribute classrooms and routes across separate volumes. Considering Edinburgh’s weather and movement between lessons leads to a reduction in exposed circulation, the combination of some buildings and revised levels. Colour diagrams distinguish roofs, interior rooms and indoor and outdoor routes.
光线与坡地Light and sloping ground
实体模型的光照照片与剖面一起观察屋顶下的明暗变化。总平面把学校放在城市坡地中,平台、架空与不同楼层关系成为处理高差的方式。这里的环境图像表达设计意图与课堂探索。Light studies of the physical model and sectional drawings examine conditions beneath the roofs. The site plan places the school on an urban slope, using platforms, raised spaces and changes of level to negotiate the ground. These environmental images communicate design intentions and studio exploration.
由模型走向平面与剖面Developing plans and sections
最终图纸进一步组织教室、楼梯和连接位置,并用剖切关系解释空间高度。数字模型延续实体模型中屋面、墙体与平台的组合,帮助比较不同视角下的整体关系。Final drawings develop the classrooms, stairs and connections, using sections to explain spatial heights. Digital models continue the combination of roofs, walls and platforms tested in physical models, allowing the overall arrangement to be compared from different viewpoints.
